To preserve our future and our planet, Georgia must acknowledge the climate crisis and take steps to protect our environment. We need to transition to a cleaner economy without leaving anyone behind. Our state is also home to some of the most beautiful natural habitats in the country, which we must treat with respect and preserve for our children to see.

As representative of State House District 45, I will work to:

  • Protect our groundwater and waterways by requiring all coal ash ponds to be lined and capped, and raise the fee for coal ash disposed in landfills to be equal to household waste.

  • Create more “green jobs”, especially in the renewable energy sector.

  • Explore Georgia’s potential as a leader in offshore wind energy.

  • Invest in improving and expanding our public transportation infrastructure, and restore incentives for electric vehicles, especially for street cars and ride-share services.

  • Prepare Georgia’s coast and islands for rising sea levels.

  • Educate the public, especially children, about environmental stewardship.
